My first interaction with new technology was back in 1986 with the
Apple IIGS. At that time I didn't know how much impact this computer
would have on the world and on my life. I remember playing games on it
like "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego" and learning English as
my second language. As new technology evolved, I learned to use the
email and the internet.
As a professional today, I realize how important it is to not only
know how to use the email and the internet but to also use and explore
this new technology as a resource for networking, branding and sharing
ideas. Until recently, I was using job boards to search resumes and
post jobs. Just a week ago, my CEO asked me to recreate our company
website as a source for attracting new clients and talent. I am now
faced with a new and exciting challenge. New Technology is a chance
for New Learning.

ReplyDeleteThat's great Juliette. What a great challenge..Best of luck in creating the website page for attracting clients.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great challenge. I remember from my days in recruiting that recruiting collateral was called "sizzle". Sizzle away!
ReplyDeleteJuliette, what do you do to attrack more people to your website? Any particular design or incentives? Please share...
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments.
ReplyDeleteMarga, I've been searching for ways to attract people to our website. I found out Taleo helps integrate corporate websites to social and professional networking sites like Linkedin and Twitter. The only limitation we have though is that it costs money. I think once I will have finalized the website I will post the url on my Linkedin and Twitter profile. Networking is the most convenient way for us right now to market and brand our staffing agency.
Hey Juliette,
ReplyDeleteI would love to be of help to you in this project of yours. I have some experience in doing such stuff. Let me know whenever you need me. :)
